Terms.
The handshake.
The deal
You can use Daily Out Loud for personal practice — free, without an account, on any device you own. We don’t track you. You don’t owe us anything.
What you can't do
- Use the app to record someone else’s voice without their consent. (Local-first storage doesn’t make this OK — your local laws still apply.)
- Resell, sublicense, or rebrand the app or its content.
- Try to break, scrape, or reverse-engineer the app beyond what applicable law allows.
- Use the app to harass, harm, or intimidate yourself or others.
Your stuff
Your recordings, your reflections, your practice profile — yours. Local-first means we don’t have a copy. We can’t lose what we never had.
Our stuff
Daily Out Loud’s name, design, copy, prompts, training guides, and codebase are ours (or open-sourced under their stated licenses). Don’t pass them off as your own.
The disclaimer
Daily Out Loud is a practice tool, not therapy, medical advice, career counseling, or a substitute for any professional service. If you’re in crisis, please contact a qualified human.
The app is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages from using the app. You’re responsible for your own backups, your own privacy choices, and your own decisions about what to share.
Payments
Tips are tips. They’re non-refundable except as required by law or platform policy. They don’t buy you features, priority support, or special treatment. They buy us coffee.
Changes
If we change these terms, we’ll bump the last-updated date. Material changes might also get a heads-up in the changelog. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept them.
